A very early Anglepoise 1209 lamp by Herbert Terry & Sons.
An original example with the taller heavy cast iron base & tulip shade in the original 'crinkle' finish factory paintwork. Marked with the earlier 'Patent Pending' stamp to the middle joint & retaining its original 'Crabtree' lamp holder.
This particular example also features the base with the wire exit hole allowing the cable to be threaded through the it.
H:90cm the lamp extends to around 125cm at full stretch.
